After winning the gold several times over, Ryan Lochte has scored yet another gold-medal role, only this time it's on the small screen. That's right, ladies, Lochte has been asked to guest star in the upcoming fifth season of 90210.
Lochte will appear as himself, although we have to hope that the writers will give him lines to recite, because left to improvisation, things could get disastrous.
He will guest as a visitor at a resort where the recently-reunited Naomi and Max are staying in an attempt to strengthen their relationship. Whether Lochte will be a foil to that is anyone's guess, although if left to his own devices, he might just stand in front of this Naomi lady and say "Jeah!" a bunch.
It's not Lochte's first foray into the acting world, although it's likely the most dramatic—the Olympian recently appeared in two Funny or Die videos, which are, obviously, not exactly soap-opera-esque.
Lochte's been pretty vocal about wanting to get into the less-athletic aspect of famousness, and he's ready to take on Hollywood; after his success at the 2012 London Olympics, he's set his sights on reality TV, including Dancing With the Stars and The Bachelor as his dream projects. While we can see him on DWTS thanks to his athletic ability, imagining him as "The Bachelor" seems a little more far-fetched, if only because he's a little too well-known for something like that (and, if we're being a little mean, DWTS probably requires him to talk less).
This season of 90210 starts on the CW on Monday, October 8, and Lochte's arc will air on October 29—maybe it will be a Halloween-themed episode!
