Girls, the HBO show that people love to hate or hate to love, was picked up for a second season well before its first was over, and with the hype came a wave of guest-star announcements. And now, a few more have been announced: Rita Wilson and Colin Quinn are slated to appear on the show's sophomore season.
TV Line reported the news, and word is that Wilson will play Marnie's mother on the show. Wilson's most recent project was a role in The Good Wife, and it's unsure of what sort of arc she will have as Marnie's mom.
Quinn, on the other hand, is mum on what his character will be. He did confirm on Twitter that he was going to be in the show, though.
He tweeted, "Excited about my 'shoot' today for Girls. Looking forward to impressing them with my positive outlook and my professional demeanor," a jab at the show's characters, who are categorically negative and unprofessional (or maybe I just never got into the show and am bitter about their rich-kid lifestyle? Either way...).
Donald Glover from Community and Patrick Wilson were already announced as guest stars for the second season, so it should be interesting to see what happens to all of our (least? Sorry, I can't help disliking this show!) favorite Girls.
