Louis Gossett Jr. was nominated for his role in The Least Among You at the NAACP Image Awards and StarCam's Jennifer Tapiero got to chat with him about it.
"It's very touched to get the nomination, to begin with, after all these years," he said. "Got a few of them, but the NAACP right now is kind of important. It's their time to shine. There's a lot of issues out there, lot of stuff to prove, lot of things to change."
Jen was obviously inspired by everything he had to say, so she asked him if he has a motto that he lives by.
"Longevity," he replied. "To the young, there's no such thing as impossible."
Then he continued on about his charity that he's very passionate about, The Eracism Foundation. He explained how he came up with that clever name.
"There was a small organization in New Orleans, they sold a lot of t-shirts, but they had no idea how deep that word was, so I adopted it," he said. Then he showed Jen the pendant he was wearing with the foundation's logo.
He also shared a few of his own Oscar predictions.
"The girl from The Help, maybe Meryl Streep, but I think it's Viola… George Clooney will get something," he said.
