Lollapalooza

Lollapalooza’s 2011 lineup has finally been announced, with headliners Eminem, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Muse, My Morning Jacket, deadmau5, and A Perfect Circle topping the bill. This year will be the festival’s 20th anniversary.

Lollapalooza takes place in Chicago’s Grant Park, and early bird tickets for the August 5-7 show sold out back in March. Three-day passes, VIP and travel packages are still available, as well as a limited number of single tickets, all of which will go on sale June 7.

Other acts scheduled to perform include Cee Lo Green, Death From Above 1979, The Cars, Girl Talk, Kid Cudi, Crystal Castles, and Cold War Kids.

Lollapalooza founder and Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell will be making an appearance on his signature stage, under the moniker of PerryEtty vs. Chris Cox. In a statement, Farrell said, “Muscular beats – that’s the theme. Our new tent houses fifteen thousand people at once.”

Tickets for the three-day event are $215, with travel packages offering hotel stays as well as festival memorabilia. For more information and to see the full lineup for Lollapalooza 2011, check out Lollapalooza.com.
