LMFAO’s hot single “Party Rock Anthem” has hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Although the song was already my summer jam (alongside Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera’s “Moves Like Jagger”), this makes it a little more official that it’s everyone else’s summer jam, too.

“Party Rock Anthem,” featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock has not only taken the #1 spot on the Hot 100 chart, but also on the Hot Digital Tracks chart for the week ending July 3, 2011. To date, it’s sold over 1.7 million copies.

The video features Redfoo and Sky Blu waking up from a party-induced coma only to find that the world has been possessed to do the “Party Rock Anthem” shuffle. On VEVO, the video has garnered over 100 million views – a few of which have obviously been me. The song is featured on LMFAO’s sophomore album, Sorry for Party Rocking, which was released on June 21. The record debuted at #12 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart.

“Party Rock Anthem” has also hit #1 on charts in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom – so, quite literally, the whole world is spending every day shufflin’.

Best known for their party rock hits, “I’m In Miami Bitch,” “La La La,” “Yes,” and “Shots (featuring Lil Jon),” LMFAO have sold over 3 million singles and 200,000 copies of their debut album, Party Rock, since it was released in July 2009.

Now, the group will be hitting the road with Ke$ha at the end of this month, kicking off a tour on July 30th and traveling all across America until September 20th, where the tour ends in Phoenix, Arizona. Check them out!
