Being the working mother of a five-year-old means that most of the movies Kristy Swanson sees involve animation and a theater packed with children. The actress admitted that she doesn't make it to all the movies she'd like to, but did make it a point to see The Descendants and she loved it! That's not to say she doesn't enjoy those animated flicks though!
"I say to my son all the time, 'We didn't have these kind of movies when I was a kid!' You know?" She told Jen. "There are so many wonderful movies out there for children and older children and then teens. I mean, there are just so many great movies out there."
Kristy wasn't just at the awards to find out which films she missed out on, she was nominated for her performance in the movie, A Christmas Wish, with Kevin Sorbo. She plays Martha Evans, who is left by her husband around Christmas time and has to pull it together to make ends meet for her three children. While the plot may sound like a tear-jerker, she assured Jen that the movie has a happy ending.
Be on the lookout for her new movie, Operation Cupcake, on the Hallmark Channel. She stars with Dean Cain. The movie is scheduled to be released on June 17!
