She's Iron Man/Tony Stark/Robert Downey Jr.'s faithful assistant, and until now, we had no reason to fear her departure. But now, Gwyneth Paltrow is hinting at the possibility that she may be finished with comic book movies and may not even come back for the Avengers sequel.

At the Toronto Film Festival, which she attended to promote the premiere of her "sex-addiction dramedy" Thanks For Sharing, she told E! News, "I'm getting old for this s**t, you know what I mean?"

Paltrow originiated her role as Virginia "Pepper" Potts in the first Iron Man movie. She reprised it in Iron Man 2, and just finished wrapping the third installment.

Paltrow seems more fitted to roles like the one she plays in Thanks for Sharing. In that film, she plays a woman dating a sex addict (Mark Ruffalo). The film also stars Tim Robbins as Ruffalo's 12-step program sponsor, and Pink and Josh Gad as fellow addicts.

Paltrow says she took the role because it was just "a couple of weeks in New York in the fall and I could bring my kids. I was like 'OK, let's do it.'"

She's brought her kids to the Iron Man and Avengers sets, too.

"They like it better when I do that than sex addiction movies," she said.

The Avengers 2 is expected for a 2015 release and will be written and directed by Joss Whedon.
