Your favorite Canadian-turned-American character on How I Met Your Mother, Robin (Cobie Smulders) won't have to tell her children how their father married their mother, because knowing tabloids, the kids will read it before she has a chance. The Avengers star married Taran Killam yesterday at the Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort in Solvang, California.
There were reportedly 300 guests at the wedding, including her costars Alyson Hannigan and Neil Patrick Harris, who brought his kids.
The ceremony lasted around 15 minutes, and then guests were taken via hayride to a reception at a private lake.
As for whether the show and her movie career are doing alright, it seems they are doing just fine—the couple rented out the entire ranch, which costs $43,000 a night.
Killam and Smulders have been together for eight years and engaged for three, and have one daughter together, Shaelyn Cado.
Smulders will next appear in Grassroots, and in the upcoming years she's got Safe Haven, They Came Together, and Starbuck on the books.
Aside from SNL, Killam has guest starred on Community and iCarly, and has upcoming roles in The Heat, Twelve Years a Slave, and Grown Ups 2.
