Challen Cates has an interesting connection to wines. She didn’t grow up drinking the cheap, lesser-quality stuff that comes in a box or a jug. Her family made their own! She told StarCam all about the Tantara Winery in Santa Maria Valley.
“I’m very interested in wines because my family has a winery, so I’m always interested to go to an event that has something to do with wine. Also, it’s raising money for charity so it’s two good things together,” she said. “…we specialize in single vineyard pinot noir. In fact, we do 12 different single vineyard pinots.” For obvious reasons pinot noir is her wine of choice!
When she’s not relaxing and enjoying some amazing wine, Challen is hard at work on the hit TV show Big Time Rush! Some big changes have come into play in the new season though and it seems like everyone is making some adjustments.
“Big Time Rush is in the middle of Season 3 and we’re having a great time. It’s very exciting. Things have been changing on the show, so it’s nice to kind of go with the evolution and hopefully we’ll come back for a fourth season,” she said. “Because the show is about a band and the band is actually a real band and they’ve become famous in real life, they’ve incorporated the fame and the success into the show. All of the characters have to deal with that and how that changes their lives and how it impacts everything about them.”
