Actor Chace Crawford, who is best known for his role as Nate on Gossip Girl, has made a deal in his marijuana possession case – a case that began last summer when he was arrested in Texas.
According to the deal, if Crawford stays out of trouble for one year, his criminal record will be wiped clean. TMZ writes, “[Chace] has agreed to a pretrial diversion program. Translation – if he meets certain conditions in the next 12 months, the case will be dismissed and there will be no criminal record.”
In June 2010, Crawford was caught rolling a joint while he was sitting alone in a car, in a parking lot at Ringo’s Pub in Plano, Texas. At the time, reports said that he had a little less than 2 ounces of marijuana in a plastic bag sitting in clear view on the dashboard.
At the time, Crawford was said to be “very polite and low key in a pair of jeans and flip flops, and never identified himself” when he was arrested.
In order to fulfill this deal, Crawford must not only avoid criminal conduct for one year, but also report to a probation office monthly and complete 24 hours of community service work this summer,
