Music is a place for trends—first Justin Bieber pukes onstage, then Lady Gaga does. Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong has an expletive-laced meltdown onstage, then the Ataris' singer, Kris Roe does. Except this time around, our frontman lashed out not at a promotional corporation (in Armstrong's case, Clear Channel), but at one of the band members—drummer Rob Felicetti.

The band was playing a show in Asbury Park, New Jersey, and during the song "Your Boyfriend Sucks," Roe appeared to become more and more agitated, until he finally snapped and threw his guitar into the drum set, then started taking pieces of the drum set and throwing them towards the back of the stage.

He then called the performance "f*cking embarrassing," and explained that while "we all have bad shows," that the drummer was "f*cking failing it tonight."

Roe continued the set as a solo act, playing his songs acoustically. There hasn't been a statement from the band, but according to Punknews.org, the drummer has quit the band and Roe will play the show in Providence, Rhode Island solo as well.

Roe has allegedly had problems with drugs in the past, so we're curious to see whether this story will unfold as Armstrong's did, with Roe checking into rehab.
It's not the first time there have been issues between band members in the Ataris—according to the band's Wikipedia page, there are four current members and 13 past members, with a number of them leaving the band in 2005 and 2007.

We can't imagine this was the first instance of tension between the band members, but it certainly doesn't paint that great a picture of what Roe might be like to work with.
