Alec Gillis, special effects designer for The Thing, talks with StarCam at the 2012 Saturn Awards about his nomination and what inspires him.
"We're like actors right. When we read the script, it comes from that, it comes from the script and if we engage the script and it engages us we get all kinds of inspiration and then it's a daily process of pulling out the scariest, creepiest stuff we can possibly come up with."
