Bryan Singer’s innovative new web series, which premiered yesterday, will be far more interactive than previous web or TV creations of its kind. The first two episodes are available on Youtube. Six episodes will air during the first week, and two each week thereafter. A total of 48 episodes will be released.

The series follows half a dozen characters living all around the world as they go through a near-future catastrophe. In the world of H+, a developer played by Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum Alexis Denisof has created an extremely popular microchip that most people have installed in their bodies. The chips keep them wired into the internet all the time. However, when a computer virus breaks out, it infects and kills one-third of the population and plunges the world into chaos.

The web series is far more ambitious and big budget than most other web-based shows. In addition to the online episodes, H+ will continue its narrative through interactive SmartPhone apps, and features on the series website.
