High school is a rough time for most people, but it can be especially lonely and brutal for the teens that feel like they don’t belong or have difficulty making friends. A new movie set to be released later this year takes on these complicated issues through a character named Charlie whose best and only friend committed suicide.

In The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Charlie fumbles his way through high school and starts to find himself and realizes that everyone has a place that they belong. The movie stars Logan Lerman as Charlie, along with Emma Watson, Nina Dobrev, Mae Whitman, Paul Rudd, Kate Walsh, Dylan McDermott, Ezra Miller and Johnny Simmons. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on September 14, 2012. Check out the newly released first trailer!
