Most people had to read this book as teens and young adults in high school or maybe watched the film based on it that was released in the 1970s. One thing is for sure, the trailer for the new film adaptation of The Great Gatsby brings the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel to life in a way we’ve never seen before!

The first trailer was just released and it’s already generating quite the buzz! There is a very dignified looking Jay Gatsby, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, and tons of lovely ladies dressed as flappers sipping cocktails and embracing the roaring ‘20s for all that they were. There are parties, sex and scandals galore and it’s only our first look into the film set to hit theaters later this year.

The Great Gatsby stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire and Joel Edgerton. The romantic, twisted drama is scheduled to be released into theaters on Christmas day. Are you eager to see this movie or did the book bore your too much in high school English class? What do you think of the trailer? We want to know your thoughts and opinions on Leo’s next big film.
