The young country star worth millions is making her move onto the big screen! Taylor Swift has been offered the part of Eponine in the upcoming musical-gone-movie, Les Miserables.
This comes as a major shock to most people since Swift hasn’t exactly had a major breakthrough in acting. She played a ditsy character in the movie Valentine’s Day, had a guest appearance on CSI and did some voice acting in the upcoming Dr. Suess film The Lorax. Other stars said to have auditioned for the role include Scarlett Johansson, Lea Michele and Evan Rachel Wood.
Les Miserables has a stellar cast lined up. The male lead of Jean Valjean will be played by Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe as Inspector Javert and Eddie Redmayne as Marius. Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen will play Mr. and Mrs. Thernardier, Swift’s parents, and Anne Hathaway stars as Fantine. Amanda Seyfried has been offered the role of Cosette, Fantine’s daughter, which is especially strange since there’s only a 3-year age difference between Hathaway and Seyfried!
