
It’s easy to dismiss movie stars and musicians as a bunch of pretty faces. But, a lot of them have talents outside the area where they are famous. Here are eleven incredibly smart stars:
Natalie Portman is fluent in five languages, graduated with her Bachelors from Harvard and pursued graduate studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Huey Lewis scored an 800 – perfect score – on the math portion of the SAT. He studied engineering at Cornell University until he dropped out to pursue music.
Before Dolph Lundgren’s breakthrough role in Rocky IV, he gained degrees in chemistry in Sweden and Australia. He was awarded a Fullbright Scholarship to MIT, and is rumored to have an IQ of 160.
Jodie Foster has an impressive academic resume despite spending her early years constantly in the public eye. She studied literature at Yale and graduated magna cum laude.
James Woods has a reported IQ of 180. He got a perfect score on his SATs and was admitted to MIT. He dropped out to pursue acting.
Geena Davis is a member of Mensa. She plays organ, flute and piano. After participating in archery for two years, she scored nearly high enough to be included in the Women’s Olympic Archery team.
Before getting into acting, David Duchovny garnered an impressive academic resume. He got his Bachelor’s at Princeton, and then studied English literature in grad school at Yale. He was working on a PhD, but abandoned it to pursue acting.
Vinny Guadagnino of Jersey Shore fame graduated from CUNY at Staten Island with a 3.9 GPA. He was on his way toward law school when he detoured into the hair gel and GTA routine.

Professional wrestler Scott Levy (also known as The Raven) has a tested IQ of 140. He’s a member of Mensa.
