The final installment of the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn – Part 2, hits theaters November 16th, but that doesn’t mean fans have seen the last of the vampire love fest. In a recent interview, Robert Pattinson hinted that a Twilight TV series could soon grace the world’s television sets.
“I’m sure they’ll have a Twilight TV series spinoff soon,” Pattinson said in an interview with Diario de Mexico. “They’ll do it again.”
Though Robert may be joking, he’s probably right in that there will be some other form of Twilight entertainment, be it a television series or a complete remake or reboot. The franchise is simply too profitable for Hollywood to give it up without a fight. However, it will be difficult for Pattinson, 26, to continue to play vampire heartthrob Edward Cullen, though he didn’t say he would turn down the role.
“Who knows? The only thing that creates a little bit of a problem is that I’m supposed to be 17 forever,” he said. “I’m not sure I can be 17 forever."
That, and there’s the little problem of ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart reprising her role as Bella Swann.
Would you watch a Twilight television series, should it come to pass?
