It’s that magical time of year when Paramount Pictures starts releasing images and teaser trailers for the upcoming Paranormal Activity sequel, in this case Paranormal Activity 4. Today, we get a 13-second teaser for a trailer slated for release this Wednesday (August 1). Check it out below.
The exceedingly short preview is basically footage from the first two films, though the frightened blond woman at the end is someone Paranormal Activity fans haven’t seen before (and she seems to be outside). The teaser preview offers no clues about what Paranormal Activity 4 will be about, though the full teaser will hopefully provide some clues.
I’ve been a fan of the Paranormal Activity series since the first film came out in 2009, and have faithfully trekked to the theaters to see each sequel its opening weekend. I’m not sure what to expect from PA4, though my expectations are admittedly a bit low. Personally, I’d like to know more about what happened between the end of Paranormal Activity 3 and the beginning of Paranormal Activity (the girls’ remaining childhood, teen, and young adult years), as well as what happened to Hunter and Katie. What about you?
Paranormal Activity 4 hits theaters October 19.
UPDATE (7/31): For the second day in a row, Paramount Pictures has released a teaser trailer for Paranormal Activity 4 at 6:00 a.m. A clue, perhaps? Watch today's PA4 teaser trailer here, but know that it's also super short and doesn't give any new info.
