Two successful songstresses have new albums that drop this week: pop fans can pick up some new tunes from both music veteran Pink and newcomer Carly Rae Jepsen.
Pink’s 6th album, The Truth About Love, includes many songs about the complexity of her relationship with her husband, race car driver Carey Hart. Songs range in tone from plaintive in “Just Give Me a Reason” to aggressive in tracks like “Blow Me (A Kiss)” and “How Come You’re Not Here.”
Carly’s new album, Kiss, will be released tomorrow, September 18th. The album includes the smash hit "Call Me Maybe," "Beautiful," which she recorded with Justin Bieber, and her new single, the poppy, 80s tinged “This Kiss.” The first of a thousand “This Kiss” response videos should show up any minute. Carly kicks off her tour on September 29th, beginning in Arizona.
