It’s a busy month for Alec Baldwin! Last night, the 30 Rock star received a plaque on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and on February 28 the Museum of the Moving Image will honor Baldwin at the organization’s Annual Salute.
“The Museum of the Moving Image is proud to be honoring one of our great friends and supporters, as well as a terrific actor, activist, and consummate New Yorker,” Rochelle Slovin, the museum’s director, said in a statement. “His work in film, television, and theatre is outstanding - he just received his 5th SAG Award the other night. He is a diverse and entertaining man, and it is fitting that Alec Baldwin becomes our 26th Honoree."
Baldwin’s friends and colleagues will be on hand at the upcoming Salute to view numerous scenes from the 52-year-old actor’s career and discuss the oldest Baldwin brother’s prolific work in film, television, and theatre.
Presenters at the Salute include Tim Curry, Edie Falco, Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey, Michael Keaton, Lorne Michaels, Bill Pullman, Mercedes Ruehl, Ben Stiller, and Alexandra Wentworth.
Alec Baldwin joins Clint Eastwood, Robert DeNiro, Martin Scorsese Dustin Hoffman, Tom Hanks, Sidney Poitier, Julia Roberts, Steven Spielberg, James Stewart, and many others in the ranks of past Museum of the Moving Image honorees.
The Museum of the Moving Image is a media museum designed to advance the public understanding and appreciation of the art, history, technique, and technology of film, television, and digital media.
