Over the past couple of weeks, the Academy has been teasing the identities of those who will be presenting awards on Sunday night. Earlier today, another handful of presenters were shared. Jennifer Aniston, Paul Rudd, and Academy Award winners Michael Douglas and Jamie Foxx will be taking to the stage to present awards to their fellow filmmakers.
Foxx and Douglas are not the only Oscar winners or nominees to take the stage. In fact, all of those who won awards last year will be taking the stage to pass the torch to this year’s winners. That list includes Meryl Streep, Christopher Plummer, Octavia Spencer, and Jean Dujardin. Melissa McCarthy, Liam Neeson, John Travolta and Salma Hayek, who have all been nominated in other years, will also be presenting awards. This will be the second year in a row that Streep has presented an Academy Award.
Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson and Mark Ruffalo will also be presenting an award en masse. No word yet on whether they plan to wear their Avengers costumes or why Black Widow and Thor are not joining them on the stage.
The list of announced presenters is rounded out with Sandra Bullock and Mark Wahlberg. We’ll share news of newly announced presenters as we hear of them.
