Do you love Maroon 5? Are you pretty much obsessed with Adam Levine, The Voice or anything else involved with the band? Well, here’s a bit of good news for you; no need to listen to “Moves Like Jagger” or “Stereo Heart” on replay anymore. The guys teamed up with Wiz Khalifa and just released a brand new track off of their album Overexposed, which is set for release June 26.
“Payphone” isn’t quite as peppy and upbeat as the other two hits Maroon 5 has out on the radio right now, but it’s definitely a good, catchy tune. The new album is supposed to be their most diverse yet with an even poppier sound!
The lyrics are definitely a bit more somber, but that’s bound to get them some major female attention. Girls all over the world are going to be finding comfort and solace in the chorus, “If happy ever after did exist / I would still be holding you like this / All those fairytales are full of it / One more stupid love song I’ll be safe.”
Check out the new song and let us know what you think. Do you wish it was more upbeat and less somber? Are you loving it? Do you think teaming up with Wiz Khalifa was a good move for Maroon 5? Sound off in the comment section below!
