Magic Mike doesn’t hit theaters until this Friday, but screen writer Reid Carolin has big plans for the male stripper film starring Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer – the bright lights of Broadway.
"We are working on it as a Broadway show, which would be a different story," Carolin told USA Today at the Los Angeles Film Festival. "More of a romp, more of a fun night out at a club with a story. I'm almost more excited about that than the movie because I think it's the perfect thing for women to go see on Broadway, to be participants in the show."
Participants? So like Chippendales with show tunes? Sounds intriguing.
For his part, Alex Pettyfer is down with the Broadway idea and says the entire cast should perform on opening night. Cody Horn, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, and Matthew McConaughey also star in the saucy film.
Check out the trailer for some serious male eye candy. Too bad Magic Mike isn’t in 3D!
