Last week, Madame Tussauds Blackpool unveiled their latest creation: a wax figure created in the likeness of Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson. However, there’s just one problem. The statue doesn’t do Mr. Pattinson justice. In fact, many claim it barely resembles the actor at all.
“Robert Pattinson's wax figure is laughably bad,” Tweeted The Insider.
“It looks a bit like the demented love child of RPatz and the infamous 'beast Jesus' on the wall of the Santuario de la Misericordia in the Spanish village of Borja,” writes a contributor for The Examiner.
While fans and reporters alike hate the Pattinson figure, Madame Tussauds spent $240,000 to create the statute and hired a team of beefy security guards to guard it after the unveiling.
The RPatz statue will remain in Blackpool until the end of November when it will then embark on a world tour.
The real Robert Pattinson will of course appear in the final installment of The Twilight Saga next month. Breaking Dawn - Part 2 opens in theaters November 16, 2012.
What do you think of the figure? Is it a total disaster or not that bad?
