MTV’s iconic fashion series, House of Style, is headed back to the catwalk! The network today announced the beloved show will return on October 9.
“In bringing back House of Style, we’re once again looking to spotlight the spirit, personality, and sometimes humor of the most interesting people in fashion,” said Dave Sirulnick, executive vice president of MTV News and Docs.
The new House of Style will primarily appear online at MTV Style, though it will also include crossover content for television. MTV will announce the host of the revamped show at the Video Music Awards on September 6.
Airing from 1989 – 1999, the original House of Style featured hosts Cindy Crawford, Rebecca Romijn, and Molly Simms. The series offered a unique, behind-the-scenes look at the fashion industry, in addition to examining the connection between fashion and music.
“House of Style is deeply rooted in celebrating and drawing energy from our audience’s mix-and-match love of fashion, music and pop culture,” Sirulnick said.
To celebrate the return of the series, MTV will air the documentary House of Style: Music, Models and MTV on Tuesday, August 7. Fans can also check out the network’s impressive collection of clips and images from the show.
