The Incredible Hulk was all jokes on the red carpet at the 10th Annual VES Awards. Starcam’s Jennifer Tapiero caught up with Lou Ferrigno and got his take on Stan Lee, who he presented an award to later that evening.
Stan Lee is the brains behind what are arguably the best and most impactful comic books ever created. He helped bring characters like The Hulk, Spiderman, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man and the X-Men to life. Earning a Lifetime Achievement Award seems long overdue for the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics, an actor, producer, publisher and comic book writer.
While many celebrities might have been sentimental about presenting this award to such an accomplished man, Ferrigno wasn’t giving the 90-year-old Lee a break!
“I’m extremely excited. I’m excited that Stan’s still alive. He’s 90 years old,” he told Jen. “We’re here to honor him…I don’t mean to be rude. I’m just saying, most people die in their 80s, but Stan’s like 90 going on 50, and I’m just so happy to give him the award…Stan has incredible energy. I was with him last weekend in New Orleans and the guy has more energy than you and I put together.”
