Betty White, Carrie Underwood, Donald Trump, and Tim Tebow are just four of the 75 celebrities showing their support for autism awareness by participating in the 2012 Lindt Gold Bunny Celebrity Auction. The auction, which kicked off March 8 and runs until March 18, allows fans to bid on a gold bunny autographed by their favorite celeb.
"It is an honor to help launch the Lindt Gold Bunny Celebrity Auction," said autism advocate and 21 Jump Street star Holly Robinson Peete. "As the parent of a child with autism, I've dedicated my life to helping families navigate the journey through autism and erase the stigma of the disorder. Giving friends and family a Lindt Gold Bunny is just another fun and impactful way to make a difference."
All proceeds from the auction will benefit Autism Speaks, an autism science and advocacy group. Fans can bid on gold bunnies signed by some of the world’s greatest athletes – including Lance Armstrong and Peyton Manning – or bunnies autographed by some of the biggest names in movies, music, and television including Fergie, Celine Dione, Barbara Streisand, Martha Stewart, David Letterman, Hugh Hefner, Owen Wilson, Katherine Heigl, and Ed O’Neill.
"We at Lindt USA are honored to partner with Holly Robinson Peete to kick off the Easter season with the 2012 Lindt Gold Bunny Celebrity Auction, “Thomas Linemayr, president and CEO of Lindt USA, said in a statement. "We are inspired by her dedication to the autism cause and are grateful for the support from the 75 celebrities participating in this year's auction."
