Some of Hollywood’s funniest actors and comedians are teaming up to encourage and mentor gay youth between the ages of 12 and 24. The Laugh Out Loud benefit is being put on by LifeWorks, an organization that mentors these kids and helps guide them into a more productive life.
Actor/comedian Jason Stuart has been the comedy chair for the Laugh Out Loud event for six years and counting. He can be seen March 17 in an original Lifetime movie, Home Invasion and this summer on The Secret Life of the American Teenager. He encourages everyone to come out for a night of laughs to support a great cause.
“As I have said before, and will again. We need to support young gay, lesbians, bi & transgender youth, so they will have the opportunities we did not.... So get your tickets!”
Other comedians include Jackie Beat from Sex & the City, Page Hurwitz from Wisecrarck, David Koechner from Get Smart, Daniel Leary from The Ellen Show, Cathy Lewis from One Night Stand Up, Shawn Pelofsky from Comics Unleashed and Renee Santos from Pride Comedy Jam. The event is April 1 at 7 p.m. at The Comedy Store on Sunset Boulevard. General admission tickets are available for $35 and VIP tickets are $75.
