Twilight and Snow White and the Huntsman star Kristen Stewart is the highest-paid actress in Hollywood, Forbes reports. The 22-year-old Stewart earned $34.5 million between May 2011 and May 2012, thanks to her roles in the two highly-successful films. Stewart’s next non-Twilight film is Cali, due in theaters sometime next year.
Next up is Bad Teacher’s Cameron Diaz who raked in $34 million after the raunchy comedy earned over $200 million. Diaz also starred in What to Expect When You’re Expecting and will reprise her role as Natalie Cook in 2013’s Charlie’s Angels: Yet More.
Sandra Bullock and Angelina Jolie were the third and fourth highest-paid actresses in Hollywood, with respective earnings of $25 and $20 million. Bullock starred in Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, while Jolie earned big bucks from residuals and endorsement deals. The future wife of Brad Pitt appeared on nearly 80 magazine covers last year!
Charlize Theron comes in at number five with earnings of $18 million. Theron, who is also a spokesperson for Dior, starred alongside Kristen Stewart in Snow White and the Huntsman and plays Meredith Vickers in Prometheus. Fans can next catch Charlize in next year’s Mad Max 4: Fury Road.
Julia Roberts, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Meryl Streep are next on the list with earnings of $16 million, $15 million, and $12 million. Kristen Wiig also pulled in $12 million, while Jennifer Aniston closes out the highest-paid actress list with earnings of $11 million.
All in all, Hollywood’s highest-paid actresses earned $200 million last year, $161 million less than Hollywood’s leading men. Who do you think will make the list next year?
