Apparently Selena Gomez isn’t the only one with a big heart. Not long ago, Gomez dropped everything to visit a very big fan who suffers from progeria. Every day is a battle for her, but Gomez gave her a new sense of hope. Now, Gomez's boyfriend, pop sensation Justin Bieber, decided to follow in his wise and generous girlfriend's footsteps by making this Valentine’s Day extra special for a girl, Avalana, who claims to have been in love with him for longer than she’s been alive.
This 6-year-old little girl has been battling an incredibly rare and aggressive form of cancer for just about her entire life. One thing that keeps her going is her love for Justin Bieber. Her family even had a pretend wedding for her, and now they jokingly nicknamed her Mrs. Bieber!
The pop star flew her and her family out to New York City Monday for a very special Valentine’s Day. They played board games and even gave each other autographs. Justin left feeling inspired and I think it’s safe to say he gave Avalana a new sense of hope and determination. For her, this was a sign that anything is possible!
Avalana suffers from ATRT, which is such a rare form of cancer that only about 30 new cases are diagnosed in the United States each year.
