Happy birthday, Niall Horan! The Irish singer for U.K. pop group One Direction is now 19 years old.
“I'm 19! Wohoooo!” The beloved musician Tweeted earlier today.
It’s been a good couple of weeks for Horan and fellow band mates Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson. The group rocked the MTV Video Music Awards on September 6, performing before millions of fans and snagging three Moonman trophies. Horan also enjoyed a late jam session with teen sensation Justin Bieber, something Niall’s London neighbors weren’t too happy about.
Now that the VMAs are behind him, Niall’s next big project is hosting a charity event benefiting the Irish Autism Activity (IAA) and the homeless nonprofit Temporary Emergency Accommodation Mullingar (TEAM). In fact, the charity concert is how the big-hearted singer will spend his birthday.
“I am delighted and honored to be in the fortunate position of being able to give back to my community,” Horan said. “The plan for my birthday is to raise as much money as possible for IAA and TEAM and at the same time ensuring that both events are successful and fun for everyone involved.”
Happy Birthday, Niall! May the following year be as great as the last one!
