Last week ghosts reportedly invaded the American Idol mansion.
The contestants of the popular television show get comfy and cozy together as roommates during their stint on the show. The contestants reportedly began complaining about flickering lights inside the house, the start of some supposedly paranormal activity.
A spider infestation followed soon after. But what really sent the contestants running for the hills was when several of them claim they watched a bed sheet float down one of the hallways.
The mansions vocal residents raised their voices in protest and demanded new housing, and Idol producers gave it to them.
Enter Zak Bagans, lead buff investigator from the Ghost Adventures television show on the Travel Channel (not to be confused with Ghost Hunters on SyFy).
Zak believes that the contestant’s claims sound legitimate and even “possibly demonic.” He wants his crew to investigate the mansion as soon as possible.
He feels the best way to do so is to bring the finalists back to the mansion to use them as, what he calls, trigger objects. He feels that they would help bring the spirits to life.
“If there are spirits or demonic entities present they may have had a connection with one of them… hence all the activity,” said Zak.
Now, I like my paranormal investigations. I watch both Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures. The latter boasts three buff dudes, including Zak, walking around with cameras and provoking spirits and ghosts. They catch some pretty nifty evidence, but it is amusing to watch. They just say and do some things that leave you scratching your head and wondering if they have been at it too long, or if they script “experiences.”
Which leaves me to wonder: is this whole claim of belief in the American Idol mansion haunt just a way to get publicity for their show? “Ghost Adventures: American Idol Edition” would get a lot of hype, would it not?
Either way, TMZ reports that the Ghost Adventures crew has been in touch with American Idol producers.
