Summer is in full swing and if you haven't adventured on a road trip yet, why not trek to New York or Florida for lots of laughs and good music?
Nerdapalooza returns to Orlando this weekend for its fifth year, while the first annual StePhest Colbchella RocktAugustFest goes down next weekend aboard New York's Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum.
If you like nerd rock, nerdcore hip hop, chiptunes, and video game music, you'll love Nerdapalooza. If you don't, you'll at least enjoy the pocket-protecting people watching.
For the first time, this year's Nerdapalooza will be a full nerd culture festival featuring both visual and digital artists from throughout Orlando and the world including Koo Koo Kanga Roo, Math the Band, Metroid Metal, The NESkimos, and The Protomen.
Can't make it to The Social & The Beacham in central Florida this weekend? No nerdy worries! The three-day music fest will be streamed live over at Nerdy Show Live!
Then, Friday night August 10th, Stephen Colbert hosts StePhest Colbchella '012: RocktAugustFest, saying, "Well now it's summer and that means it's time to remount my long-running, one-year tradition of throwing my own summer concert."
Fans will be floating aboard New York's Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum for the music fest that will feature sets from Fun., Santigold, the Flaming Lips, Grizzly Bear and Grandmaster Flash.
