The final season of Entourage may be airing on HBO, but that doesn’t mean fans will see the last of Vincent, Eric, Johnny, Turtle, and the gang. Doug Ellin, the creator of the hit HBO show, says there will be an Entourage movie!
“We’re going to do a movie. We’re going to do it. It’s a question of when and how quick,” Ellin said at the TV critics press tour. “We’ll sit down and come up with an idea.”
Entourage movie rumors have been circulating since 2007, and executive producer Mark Wahlberg has promised any film they make will not leave fans disappointed.
“Viewers want to go on a journey,” Wahlberg said at the critics press tour. “The Hangover to me is like Entourage.”
Wahlberg also said he’d finance the project himself, if it came down to that.
Though fans and cast members would love to see an Entourage movie, many doubt it will ever happen due to things like budgets, contracts, other projects, and finding a distributor, not to mention a good story line. Still, there’s hope.
“I think the final season is a gratifying way to finish, yet I also feel we could transition into a movie,” said Entourage star Jeremy Piven (Ari).
How do you feel about the Entourage movie idea? Good, bad, indifferent?
