
The Lone Ranger has had a long journey to the silver screen: Columbia Pictures was supposed to make a version in 2003. It never came together, so, Disney took over in 2007. After a number of delays, curious fans can finally get their first look at Gore Verbinski's version of the classic western:
The trailer gives only the barest idea of the story, allowing viewers to come in relatively unspoiled. The look borrows heavily from Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes movies, which is in no way a bad thing. Let's see if Verbinski can bring the same fun and excitement to the old west that he did to pirates.
