New York Yankees’ team captain, Derek Jeter, might need a lesson in one-night-stand etiquette. The eligible bachelor has been scoring a good amount of homeruns off the baseball field after his recent breakup with actress Minka Kelly, and sending the beauties on their way with a gift basket of autographed memorabilia. From a female point-of-view, this is pretty much paying a girl to sleep with you, but hey, at least they’d be making a good hourly wage. A baseball signed by Jeter can go for hundreds, even thousands of dollars. Typically, the baseball superstar keeps his personal life pretty private, but a recent slipup tore the lid right off this can of worms.

“Derek has girls stay with him at his apartment in New York, and then he gets them a car to take them home the next day. Waiting in his car is a gift basket containing signed Jeter memorabilia, usually a signed baseball,” the friend dished. “This summer, he ended up hooking up with a girl who he had hooked up with once before, but Jeter seemed to have forgotten about the first time and gave her the same identical parting gift, a gift basket with a signed Derek Jeter baseball. He basically gave her the same gift twice because he’d forgotten hooking up with her the first time!”

Ladies, if you hook up with the Yankee’s stud, just remember that being sent on your way with a gift basket does not mean he’s interested. It means you were a one-night-stand, or at least a woman he won’t remember if you ever do score with him again.
