Tuesday night’s elimination on Dancing with the Stars left the ballroom in shock. All of the celebrities and pros danced their hearts out on Monday and there were only four points between the couple in first place and the couple in last. America may have made a big mistake though, because the couple that was at the top of the leaderboard was sent out of the ballroom for good last night.
After the incident during Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas’s second dance, I’m pretty sure that most people thought her dancing days were done. She was injured and their final steps were a mess, but the champ pulled herself together and stood before the audience hoping they’d had enough faith in her to keep her around for the finals. They were the first couple of the night that was declared safe from elimination. This left all of us at home wondering what the heck had just happened and which amazing talent from the night prior would be saying their goodbyes.
I thought for sure that Donald Driver, Peta Murgatroyd, William Levy and Cheryl Burke would be the bottom two. Maria Menounos and Derek Hough have been killing it lately. They earned the first perfect score of the season and have collected several more since. When Monday night’s show ended they had scored 59 out of 60, leaving them in first place! This just proves that no one is safe because it was Maria, Derek, Donald and Peta in the bottom and Maria and Derek were the ones to go.
