
Grammy Award-winning superstars Celine Dione, Jennifer Hudson, and Usher are slated to perform at CBS’ “We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston.” The one-hour special will celebrate the life and career of Houston, a six-time Grammy Award winner, and will air on CBS November 16th.
“‘We Will Always Love You’ will include never-before-seen footage and exclusive interviews, along with artists sharing their memories of Houston,” reads a release announcing the event. “Additionally, the special will feature highlights of Houston's career, including great Grammy and other iconic performances.”
Dione, Hudson, and Usher are the first three performers to be announced for the event, though more will soon follow.
Tickets to the Houston tribute went on sale last week, and are available online at www.ticketmaster.com or via phone at 1-800-745-3000. The “We Will Always Love You” tribute tapes at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on October 11.
The most awarded female act of all time, Whitney Houston sold over 170 million albums worldwide before her accidental death last February. The singer also graced the Emmy stage eight times, one of a few artists to receive that honor.
