R&B sensation Boyz II Men will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today, becoming the first celebrities to receive the honor in the new year.
Members Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Nathan Morris will join emcee Leron Gubler, President and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, on Hollywood Boulevard for today’s 11:30 a.m. unveiling ceremony. Boyz II Men’s star, the 2,456th plaque to grace the Walk of Fame, will be located near the stars of such artists as Stevie Wonder, the Temptations, the Supremes, and the Miracles.
The most successful R&B group of all time, Boyz II Men has sold more than 60 million albums worldwide, scooping up four Grammys, nine American Music Awards, and three Billboard Awards along the way. In October, Boyz II Men released Twenty, an album celebrating the iconic group’s 20 years in the music industry. Twenty includes 10 brand new tracks as well as 10 newly-recorded and updated hits like “Motownphilly,” “End of the Road,” and “On Bended Knee.” The album fittingly debuted on the Billboard 200 at number 20 and reached number one on the iTunes R&B Soul Album chart.
Congratulations, Boyz II Men, for earning a spot on the renowned Hollywood Walk of Fame!
