When they released Cooleyhighharmony in 1991, Boyz II Men never thought they would become the most successful R&B group of all time. Now, still harmonizing twenty years later, the guys are giving fans their tenth studio album in celebration of their anniversary.
While Michael McCary and his distinct deep bass voice left the group in 2003 due to health issues, rumors say he'll reunite with Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris, and Shawn Stockman for the new record to be released this fall.
Titled Twenty, the double CD album set will include 10 brand new tracks and 10 newly recorded and updated versions of the classics, including "End Of The Road," "I’ll Make Love To You," and "Bended Knee."
"Nothing too extreme or dramatic, but we've added a few things here and there," says Stockman of the reworked versions.
He also says the new tracks will stay true to their favorite genre - love songs. He hopes they will attract new listeners, as well as regain old fans.
"We hope that those people that we've touched before, we'll be able to touch again, because they haven't gone anywhere, they've just grown up," Stockman says.
