First Chanel, now Gucci. Gossip Girl star Blake Lively is the face of the new Gucci fragrance, Gucci Première. Frida Giannini, creative director of the luxury brand, said she was inspired by Lively’s Hollywood glamour.
“In conceiving this fragrance I was inspired by timeless Hollywood glamour and the iconic leading ladies of Hollywood's golden era,” Giannini said in a statement. “Blake's unique style and charisma brings that allure to life in a very contemporary way."
Lively, 24, also represents Chanel’s Mademoiselle hand bag line. Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld described Blake as “an American dream girl.”
As for Lively, the young actress is thrilled to promote the new Gucci fragrance coming to stores this September.
"I admire the qualities of the Gucci Première woman and feel honored to represent the fragrance," she said in a statement earlier this week.
Blake Lively first rose to fame in 2005 after playing the role of Bridget Vreeland in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, a role she went on to reprise in the film’s sequel. Additional film credits include Accepted with Justin Long and Jonah Hill, the independent feature Elvis & Annabelle, the indie drama The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, and Green Lantern. Lively also stars in the CW television series Gossip Girl.
