Think you have what it takes to escape a horde of flesh-eating zombies? Prove it. The Walking Dead Escape course, coming soon to San Diego’s Petco Park, needs a few brave souls willing to put their survival skills to the test. Brain-hungry zombies are also welcome.
Held in conjunction with Comic-Con on July 14 - 16, the Waking Dead Escape course is essentially a recreation of the zombie apocalypse featured in the hit series The Walking Dead. Participants can register as a Survivor and attempt to navigate the ballpark’s zombie-infected evacuation zone or sign up as a Walker and become one of the undead. Spectators can also watch from the sidelines.
“We wanted fans to experience — as closely as possible — the end of the world,” Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman told the Los Angeles Times. It’s going to be a fun, messy time.”
The course isn’t timed, and survivors and zombies alike will receive an exclusive special edition of the 100th Issue of The Walking Dead. Survivor tickets are $70 - $90 with Walker and Spectator prices to be announced. Check out The Walking Dead Escape for more information.
