The Internet is buzzing today with rumors about Marilyn Manson’s alleged engagement to occult film maker and musician Seraphim Ward, 27. However, it appears the rumors were nothing more than a case of mistaken identity.
Earlier this week, Life & Style reported that Manson popped the question and that Seraphim said yes. Ward even Tweeted a photo of an engagement ring, a ring that allegedly belonged to the shock rocker’s grandmother. When E! asked Seraphim’s manager, Jonathan Sheldon, for confirmation he responded with a vague “Seraphim has recently made a life commitment to her partner and couldn't be happier!"
However, Manson’s rep said that not only were the engagement rumors false, but that Marilyn and Seraphim had never met.
“Marilyn Manson is not engaged to Seraphim Ward. He has never met her," the publicist told E! News.
It seems Seraphim is actually engaged to former Manson keyboardist Madonna Wayne Gacy, otherwise known as Pogo.
"Seraphim is not engaged to Marilyn,” Sheldon said following the statement from Manson’s rep. “She is happily engaged to Pogo, who created Marilyn Manson."
It seems someone was being purposely vague.
An actress and musician, Seraphim will make her film debut in the upcoming indie flick Speed Dragon, also starring Ron Jeremy and Bai Ling. The gothic beauty has also released two albums, A Woman Scorn and Mute Malevolance, in addition to collaborating with Industrial Goth Outfits, Godhead, Kidney Thieves, and Julian Beeston (Nitzer Ebb), on several musical projects.
In December, StarCam snapped a few shots of Seraphim with actor/comedian Eddie Griffin at Jon Lovitz's Comedy Club in Hollywood. Check out the Seraphim Ward photos.
