Celebrities came out to the 2012 Genii Awards featuring the Alliance for Women in Media to honor those who have pushed through adversity and overcome obstacles to make it where they are today. StarCam’s Jennifer Tapiero was out on the red carpet talking to those being recognized for their achievements and those who felt privileged to be in their presence.

Today a video surfaced online in which Karen Gillan (Amy Pond on Doctor Who) confessed her love of all things Community, and more specifically, Inspector Spacetime. Inspector Spacetime is a spoof of Doctor Who that Community writers created as a nod to the classic British show in the episode Biology 101.

Comedian Louis CK set a precedent back in December when he released his last special Live at the Beacon Theater exclusively through his own website. He charged only $5, in hopes that the lower price would deter would-be pirates. His gamble paid off big time, and he pulled in well over $1 milllion within less than two weeks. Now, roughly six months later, he's back with a new album, Word, which will be released tomorrow exclusively through his website.

This past weekend Star Trek 2 stars Zachary Quinto, Chris Pine, Simon Pegg and Benedict Cumberbatch spent some quality time together, going to Hooters with their stunt crew to watch boxing, making a late-night drive to San Francisco, and going to see The Avengers with Star Trek director J.J. Abrams. Thankfully for us, Pegg and Quinto are big fans of social media, so fans got to tag along on their hijinks-heavy adventure.

Confession: I am obsessed with BBC's Sherlock. We last saw Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Dr. Watson (Martin Freeman) at the end of Series 1 in one of the most intense cliffhangers imaginable. Holmes and Watson were facing off with the criminal mastermind James Moriarty (Andrew Scott), with only a bomb and a gun between them. This weekend the modernized version of the classic detective returns to American screens, and fans will finally discover how (or if) they escape.

Cloris Leachman is known for her roles in Young Frankenstein, Spanglish and many other big-name films, but it’s not one of those big roles that is the most memorable for her. She told StarCam’s Jennifer Tapiero about which film was her favorite and about all of the awards she has acquired for her impeccable acting abilities over the years.
