We all have busy lives – work, the gym, family, relationships – and sometimes quality time with our friends go by the wayside. I haven’t seen David Bailey, one of my BFF’s (in Hollywood we have multiple BFF’s) in months. David is a real estate mogul and one of the stars of HGTV’s Selling LA. We decided to have brunch at a neighboring restaurant – well his neighborhood anyway - the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

One of my favorite movies is Adventures in Babysitting, a late Eighties movie directed by Chris Columbus (Gremlins, Home Alone, Harry Potter). AIB stars Elizabeth Shue as Chris, a teenager whose date cancels on her so she ends up babysitting her friend's siblings, one of whom is obsessed with the Marvel comic character Thor. But when Chris' frantic best friend Brenda calls and pleads to be rescued from the bus station in downtown Chicago, Chris grabs the three kids and they make their way into the mean streets of the big city to bring Brenda home safely. The night soon explodes in hair-raising adventures.

When I walked into my neighborhood Ralphs grocery store on Sunset Blvd late last night, the last person I expected to see was a celebrity. As I was heading to the tiny gluten free section, I spotted a very tall man wearing extremely large and expensive cowboy boots bending over the meat section picking up steaks, examining them and setting them down again, unsatisfied.
