Stephen Baldwin is suing Kevin Costner.  Baldwin had owned stock in Costner’s company that invented a machine to help clean up oil disasters.  He claims he was duped into selling those shares prior to Costner and his business partner selling the technology to BP after the oil rig explosion this past spring.

Shortly after the oil disaster in April, Baldwin agreed to become a 10% partner in Costner’s venture. Once it became evident that BP was interested in purchasing the contraption, Baldwin claims he was pressured to sell back his stock in the venture.  Costner and his partner then inked a deal with BP estimated to be worth $52 million.
